posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The Pokémon Company unveiled two character figures for the Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition game on Friday. The role-playing game is a crossover between the Pokémon franchise and the Nobunaga's Ambition strategy role-playing game series.
The "Zekrom + Nobunaga" figure measures about 14 centimeters (5.5 inches) tall, while the "Freezer [Articuno] + Mitsuhide" figure stands about 12 centimeters (4.7 inches) tall. The Pokémon Company also unveiled other promotional goods including hand towels (two styles), postcard sets (two styles, mini cushions (three styles), and a tumbler on Friday. Pokémon Center stores and retailers across Japan will begin selling both figures for 2,800 yen (about US$35) along with the other promotional items on March 17.
The game is set in a war-torn hegemony split into 17 states. The player will assume the role of a military leader of the Hajime state and devise strategies against Nobunaga and other warriors. Each commander is linked to a partner Pokémon during battles.
The game will also ship in Japan on March 17 for 5,800 yen (about US$76). The limited first edition bonuses include a "Nobunaga's Black Rayquaza" card for the Pokémon: Black & White card game.
