Dragon Ball Z Inspires Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Mods
posted on by Justin Sevakis
Several user-submitted patches for the PC version of the popular action role-playing game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim give players the ability to throw a "Kamehameha" wave and other elements inspired by Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Z manga series.
Kamehameha Wave by user "Sirota554," gives the player an attack similar to Son Goku's attack in the manga. The mod developer included audio files to add a "Kamehameha" shout by Masako Nozawa as young Goku, and Sean Schemmel as adult Goku.
A separate Dragon Ball Z Overhaul Project by users "Rigormortician" and "Redman" adds Dragon Ball Z warpaint, Ki blasts, and many other small Dragon Ball Z-related details.
Dragon Ball Outfit by user "Backsteppo" gives the players Goku's clothes and hair (as seen in the above videos).
Bethesda Game Studios developed The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and released it on November 11 for Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Bethesda then released Skyrim Creation Kit, a tool to develop modifications for the Windows version, on February 7. Patches made with the kit can only be applied to the Windows version of the game.
