Aquarion Evol Smartphone App Interacts with Anime
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The media and entertainment company Hakuhodo DY Media Partners released an Aquarion Evol smartphone application on January 25 that interacts with the television anime series. The free "Aquarion Evol Forbidden Union Catcher" application is available for iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad devices.
Viewers who watch the current broadcast of the Aquarion Evol anime in Japan can use the application to capture a character image at the end of each episode. After capturing the characters, users can acquire three types of Vector mecha. However, each Vector will only be available through the application for one day. When people collect all three kinds of Vector mecha, they can combine them into an Aquarion machine and battle with other users' Aquarion robots online.
Those who acquire at least three Aquarion mecha and win at least ten battles during the period between February 7 and March 9 will earn and excellence award title. Thirty title holders will be selected to receive an Aquarion Chogokin toy prize. Users will have another chance to win beginning on March 10.
The "Aquarion Evol Forbidden Union Catcher" application will be available until June 30.
