Bakuman's Manga-in-Manga Characters Inspire Figures
posted on by Egan Loo
Otter #11, Detective Trap, and the other manga in the fictional story world of Bakuman. have inspired an upcoming set of character figures from Megahobby. The main characters of Muto Ashirogi's Detective Trap and Run, Daihatsu Tanto! (Hirameki Tanto-kun), Eiji Ni-zuma's Crow, Shinta Fukuda's Kiyoshi Knight, and Kazuya Hiramaru's Otter No. 11 are all represented. Each figure comes with a stand modeled after an issue of the Bakuman. story world's Shōnen Jack magazine.
The Otter No. 11 figure comes with interchangeable parts so his left hand can hold a suit jacket slung over his shoulder, or be swapped out by a rock for fighting. Megahobby will release the five figures in late March for 683 yen (about US$8.90, tax included) each.
Viz Media will publish the ninth volume of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's original Bakuman. manga in North America next month. The television anime adaptation will launch its third season this fall.
