Steins;Gate's 'Satellite' Returns to Akihabara in Tokyo

posted on by Egan Loo
Mysterious object's crash from game/anime recreated at Radio Kaikan last October

The landmark Radio Kaikan complex in Tokyo's Akihabara otaku shopping district announced that the "mysterious" satellite-like object from the Steins;Gate game (and its anime adaptation) will return on Saturday. Last October, the original Radio Kaikan building recreated the crash of the object into its top floor. (The building has been closed for its eventual dismantling and rebuilding since last summer.)

The object is returning in a free exhibit for a limited time. The exhibit will be open every day during regular business hours (from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) on the first floor of the Radio Kaikan's second building. According to Radio Kaikan, the object measures six meters long (about 18 feet) and four meters (12 feet) wide, and it weighs 600 kilograms (1,300 pounds).
