Ikki Tousen Inspires Boxer Briefs, 3D Breasts Bottle Cover
posted on by Egan Loo
To mark the end of the "Sekiheki no Tatakai" story within Yuji Shiozaki's Ikki Tousen martial arts manga, a limited edition of 2,000 Commemorative Ikki Tousen Sekiheki Completion Boxes will ship on March 24. Among other items, each 12,000-yen (about US$160) box will include men's boxer briefs and a cover for PET plastic bottles with 3D "breasts." The "breasts PET bottle cover" will feature the character Shimei Ryomou.
The box will also include the first original sketch collection from Shiozaki, a reproduction of a color drawing, two drama CDs, a sports towel, and a mug. The 2-CD audio drama is a reissue of the now rare Ikki Tou-chen!? drama that was produced to mark the 15th anniversary of Wani Books' Monthly Comic Gum, the magazine that serializes the manga.
The Comic Natalie news source posted more preliminary images of the box's contents in higher resolution.
Tokyopop held the license to the manga in North America under the name Battle Vixens until the company closed its North American publishing branch. Geneon Entertainment once released the first Ikki Tousen anime series in North America, and Funimation then picked up the license. Media Blasters has licensed both the second Ikki Tousen anime series, Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny, and the third series, Ikki Tousen Great Guardians.
