The February issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Newtype magazine is revealing the cast for the Danbōru Senki W anime on Tuesday:
Megumi Kubota as Ban Yamano
Hiro Shimono as Hiro Ōzora
Kana Hanazawa as Ran Hanasaki
Marina Inoue as Ami Kawamura
Daisuke Namikawa as Kazuya Aoshima
Hiro Shimono as Cobra
Yūichi Nakamura as Takuya Uzaki
Danbōru Senki W is the follow-up to the ongoing television series adaptation of Level-5's Danbōru Senki (Little Battlers eXperience) mini robot game. In the "near-future, plastic-model-building role-playing game," a boy named Ban joins a competition with miniature robots called LBX (Little Battlers eXperience). Ban and other players customize and control the LBX robots, and they battle it out in dioramas built from reinforced cardboard. ("Danbōru Senki" literally means "cardboard warriors.")
Kubota, Inoue, and Nakamura are returning from the current Danbōru Senki anime's main cast. Danbōru Senki W will premiere on January 18, one week after the finale of the first series. Dentsu Entertainment USA announced in August that it is bringing the Little Battlers eXperience television anime series to the United States.
