Female musician sang "FRiDAY-MA-MAGiC" for Ouran's live-action TV series

The Japanese singer-songwriter miwa will perform a theme song for the live-action film adaptation of Bisco Hatori's Ouran High School Host Club manga. The song's title has not been announced. miwa sang "FRiDAY-MA-MAGiC" as the ending theme song for the romantic comedy's live-action television series adaptation, which aired from July 22 to September 30 in Japan.

The female musician also sang "chAngE" as the Bleach television anime series' 12th opening theme song. She performed the "Aozora" ending theme for the 2010 Colorful anime film and "Chasing hearts" as the opening song for this summer's Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos film.

In Ouran High School Host Club's story, high school freshman Haruhi Fujioka pretends to be a boy so that she can take part in the wealthy school's Host Club, to which she owes a large debt. The 16-year-old actress Haruna Kawaguchi (Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, Moshidora) will reprise her lead role as Haruhi; it will be the first time that she headlines a feature film. Kawaguchi said that the film will depict an aspect of the story not seen in the live-action television series.

Yūsuke Yamamoto and Shunsuke Daitō will return as the host club's president Tamaki Suou and vice-president Kyoya Ootori, respectively. AKB48's Mariko Shinoda will play the half-Japanese international exchange student Michelle while the Korean group 2PM's Nichkhun will perform the role of her older brother. This will be Nichkhun's first appearance in a Japanese film.

Sony Pictures Entertainment will distribute the Ouran High School Host Club live-action film as its first television-to-film project. The movie will premiere in theaters throughout Japan on March 17.
