Unofficial quartet ride through Akihabara, Shibuya, Waseda to advertise Yamamoto Mimikakiten
Four real-life Mario Karts rode through the streets of Tokyo this month to advertise Yamamoto Mimikakiten — a chain of shops that offers to clean ears while customers rests their heads on the employees' laps. From the trendy shopping area of Shibuya to the otaku's Akihabara and the streets near Waseda University, the quartet took their message to the people.
The four drivers are offering to advertise other businesses as well. While the stereotype of ear-cleaning services has been as a female profession, Yamamoto Mimikakiten is recruiting male employees.
