The official Taiwanese website for the Microsoft Silverlight web application revealed a Halloween upgrade for its moe mascot character Hikaru Aizawa on Monday. The website is also offering fans wallpapers of the mascot dressed in her Halloween costume.
Microsoft also offers an introductory video featuring Hikaru introducing the features of Silverlight. Microsoft revealed the mascot character more than one year ago, and she has since become popular with Taiwanese fans. The character has been upgraded in the past for other holidays such as Christmas.
The official Taiwanese Facebook page for Microsoft Silverlight noted on Saturday that Hikaru will continue to serve as the mascot for the new Microsoft Silverlight 5, and she will receive a new uniform to commemorate the decision. The Facebook page is also hosting a Halloween-themed image featuring Hikaru.
