Enterbrain's Weekly Famitsu magazine announced on Thursday that Bandai Namco Games will release a new Gundam game called Mobile Suit Gundam: Mokuba no Kiseki (Trail of the Wooden Horse) for the PlayStation Portable on January 26. The real-time simulation game will retrace the franchise's One Year War from the point of view of the character Bright Noa. The player will be able to command the White Base mobile suit carrier, and will fight on battlefields featured in the first Mobile Suit Gundam television anime series.
The game will feature two battle modes: an overall battlefield mode in which the action progresses in real time and the player issues general orders to all units, who then move automatically; and a local battle mode where the player gets a close-up view of the map and the player has more specific control over the action while time is stopped.
The game will retail for 6,280 yen (about US$82).
