Di Gi Charat's Koge Donbo* Turns Marriage Into Manga
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
On August 5, manga creator Koge Donbo (Di Gi Charat, Pavane for a Dead Girl, Kamichama Karin, Pita-Ten) launched her essay manga series about her recent marriage. The manga, titled Yomesan wa Moe Mangaka (The Wife is a Moe Manga Creator), is being serialized in Mag Garden's free web magazine Eden.
The Eden editors described the essay manga as a frank depiction of the couple's relationship from the start of their romance until their marriage and into their newlywed life.
When she announced in February that she would be getting married, Koge Donbo had noted that she and her husband agreed to continue working in their respective jobs after marrying. Their careers are so different that her partner said that she was the first manga creator he had met. Until just before her engagement, she had tried to hide the details of her work life from him.
The manga's first two chapters are available to read online for free in Japanese.
