posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
A group of manga artists are planning a special charity dōjinshi book to benefit the victims of the March 11 Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster. The manga artists plan to sell the book at the summer Comic Market (Comiket) convention to be held on August 12-14.
So far, 53 manga artists plan to contribute, and the website for the charity book notes that it is still accepting applications for artists who would like to contribute. The book will feature full-color illustrations. The page count and price for the book have yet to be determined. Proceeds from the sales of the book will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
