Voice Actors Raise 2.5 Million Yen in Akiba for Quake Victims

Tsuyoshi Koyama announced that he, Aya Hirano, Jun Fukuyama, and other fellow voice actors and anime singers raised 2,450,568 yen (about US$29,000) in a Sunday donation drive at Tokyo's Akihabara otaku shopping district for the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster.
The following performers took part in the streetside event outside the Yodobashi Camera Multimedia store:

Koyama apologized for causing crowds to form in front of the store, as well for the long lines for donators. He also promised to address the issues for possible future events. The effort was a collaboration with Stand Up! Japan, a charity project led by Takanori Nishikawa (the singer better known as T.M. Revolution).
