Animate, Gamers Stores Reopen in Sendai After Quake

The official Twitter account and websites of the Animate and Gamers! retail chains announced that the chains' stores in Sendai are temporarily and partially re-opening on Tuesday from noon to 4:00 p.m. The stores in Sendai have not received new shipments of anime/game character goods or other items since the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster on March 11, so they will be selling the items they already have in stock. All items that were pre-ordered at the Animate store for March have been delayed until the end of April.

Sendai is the closest major city to the epicenter of the earthquake.
