Foreign fans can vote for Overseas Fans Choice Award category in English
The 5th Annual Seiyū Awards has begun accepting votes in English and in Japanese on Friday. The Seiyū Awards established the Overseas Fans Choice Award category in 2008 "to recognize more voice actors by recognizing opinions from more areas." Jun Fukuyama won the first Overseas Fans Choice Award, and Mitsuki Saiga won the second.
Officially, only votes from foreign fans are accepted for the Overseas Fans Choice Award, and the public vote determines the first round of candidates. The Seiyū Awards Selection Committee will make the "second assessment" for the award. Voting ends on January 1, 2011, and the awards ceremony will be held at the Tokyo Anime Center in the Akihabara otaku shopping district on March 5.
