GTO's Fujisawa Marries, Expects Child in February

Actress Ayano Sugiyama (Sh15uya, Iryū - Team Medical Dragon 2) has announced on her official blog on Tuesday that she entered her name in the family register of her local government — the legal procedure for marriage in Japan. She added that she is expecting a new addition to her family next February and that her husband is GTO manga creator Tohru Fujisawa.
Sugiyama noted that Fujisawa knew of her before they met, because he saw her on television; she played the heroine in Kamen Rider Ryuki (Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight). Conversely, she knew of his work from seeing the live-action television adaptation of GTO.
In a separate development, voice actress Mie Sonozaki (Strike Witches' Gertrud Barkhorn, Witchblade's Reina "Lady" Soho, Comic Party's Aya Hasebe) revealed on her Twitter account on Monday that she went through her wedding ceremonies this year, two years after she officially married her husband. They performed a wedding ceremony at a chapel in the Hakodate Kokusai Hotel in her husband's hometown this past summer, and then they performed a Shinto ceremony at Tokyo's Nogi Shrine on Monday.
