Plot Summary:
Christie, a junior in high school, attends an anime convention with her boyfriend, Derek, to sell copies of a manga they've have collaborated on. However, Derek seems to be having trouble controlling himself when pretty cosplaying girls stop by their table, and upset Christie runs off and meets another cosplayer, Matt. When it comes to Matt, Christie begins to second guess herself when it comes to matters of love, and she begins to see her boyfriend for who he really is. As the weekend passes, Christie finds herself more and more drawn to the mysterious cosplayer.
Comic writer Christie Leroux's day isn't going well. She attends her first anime convention, Yattacon, in order to promote her self-published book with her boyfriend/artist, Derek. While adjusting to otaku culture, and keeping Derek's eyes away from other girls, she begins to fall for a cosplayer named Matt. The manga shows their growing relationship in the years and conventions that follow.
