JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (OAV)

The JoJo's Bizarre Adventure OVA is actually made up of two OVAs: the 1993 OVA (episodes 8 through 13) which tells the second half of the story, and the 2000 OVA (episodes 1 through 7), which tells the first half of the story.
Makes references to musical artists Iggy Pop ("pup"), Paula Abdul ("Avdol"), Vanilla Ice ("Vanilla Ice"), ACDC, Lisa Lisa, The Cars, Terence Trent D'Arby, Santana and more.
The OVAs only tell the third part of a, as of now, 6-part story. There is a part 7 (known as "Steel Ball Run" which is finished) and a part 8 (known as "JoJolion" which is still going) but these two parts take place in an "alternate universe" separate from the first 6-part story.
A 90-minute movie prequel titled JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood was released in 2007, made by many of the same staff and crew who made the OVAs, but other than its original theatrical run, it has seen no home video release of any kind anywhere, even in Japan, allegedly because the quality of the film is so poor. It is an adaptation of the first part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga, the Phantom Blood arc.
