Trivia:

On episode one, Yakumo is hit by a bus, with the Tobacco brand: Narlboro. (MARLBORO)

In the uncut English version, there are many references to the dark Disney animated show Gargoyles due to the English voice director Greg Wiseman was the head creator of the show. Half the cast are some of the supporting roles, a homeless man whistles the theme song and one character ask "Who made this claw marks" that appeared in the first episode.

The score piece "Pai Longing" was used to create the theme to the 1995 Academy Award wining fim Braveheart.
