Trivia:

The episodes Bye Bye Aimie Parts I & II, World's Greatest Mercenary, Bodyguard, and Mega-Mix Parts I & II were taken from the manga.

Much like Next Senki Ehrgeiz, Bandai did dub the first two episodes of Eat-Man '98. However, the dubbed VHS sales were low, so no other episodes were dubbed. Unlike Ehrgeiz, however, Eat-Man '98 was brought over to DVD.

There are a few differences bewteen Eat-Man and Eat-Man '98: Ahikito Yoshitomi had nothing to do with Eat-Man, while he helped out with Eat-Man '98. Eat-Man had a low budget, while Eat-Man '98 had a much larger budget. All of Eat-Man's episodes had their own, original story, while Eat-Man '98 used both original stories and stories taken from the manga. Also, Bolt's shades were red in Eat-Man, while they were black in Eat-Man '98.
