We asked photographer LEANNE, "When did you first get into cosplay photography?"
"Ever since my first Anime Convention in 2005, I've enjoyed seeing cosplayers. I took pictures at cons but never had arranged photoshoots. In 2011 I used the cons local forum to arrange cosplay shoots because I was no longer satisfied with just hallway photos. Every year I've gained more clients, more experience, and made more friends. As of this year (2014) I've decided to take myself more seriously and have shot more outside of cons, and even traveled out of state. "
About the photo shoot:
"This was my first time working with Rae and I'm sure it won't be the last! We had so much fun, there were flower petals all over the convention center (and randomly kept popping up everywhere else months after the con!). I'm pretty sure she was the only one who didn't freeze when I drug my clients outside for photos. I really want to re-shoot this cosplay, perhaps in less of a freezing setting?"
