The official website for Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja's Dead or Alive 6 fighting game revealed on Monday that the game has been delayed to March 1 to "further polish" the game. The game was originally slated for February 15. The game will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
The game will also get an arcade version. Sega will distribute the game via its "ALL.Net P-ras MULTI version 3" service, which allows for digital distribution of games to arcade systems throughout Japan. Team Ninja has not yet announced a release window for the arcade version.
The fighting game series' Dead or Alive 5 entry debuted for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. That game's most recent updated version, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, launched for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, and arcades in 2015.
The most recent game in the Dead or Alive Xtreme spinoff series, Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation, shipped for PS4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan and Asia in 2016, and the PC version debuted in November 2017. The Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet game for Switch and PS4 will launch on March 20.
