Bandai Namco Pictures Studio Plans Original Projects

Anime studio Bandai Namco Pictures revealed in the February issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Newtype magazine on Tuesday that it is working on original projects that will be revealed at a later date.
Bandai Namco Pictures officially launched in April 2015. The company handles Sunrise's intellectual property aimed at children and family, such as the Aikatsu! anime. The company has worked on the Aikatsu Stars! television anime and film (as well as two other Aikatsu! films), the Battle Spirits Burning Soul and Battle Spirits Double Drive anime, Dream Festival!, Heybot!, Brave Beats and the Kaiketsu Zorori: Uchū no Yūsha-tachi film. The studio animated the fourth Gintama. anime in 2015, and most recently, the fifth Gintama. series which just debuted this month. Bandai Namco Pictures also produced the MILPOM stop-motion shorts.
