Eromanga Sensei television anime director Ryohei Takeshita revealed on his official Twitter account on Monday that the series is recruiting an animation director and key animators. Takeshita said, the production is especially looking to fill those positions, and it is "accepting applications at any time for animation staff." Takeshita drew the illustration for the tweet. The character says in the image, "I wonder if it's OK for even me to draw key frames...."

The anime's official website revealed a new key visual on December 27. The series will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, GTV, MBS, and TV Aichi when it premieres in April.
Takeshita (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun chief animation director) and Tatsuya Takahashi (And you thought there is never a girl online?, The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn) are directing and supervising the series scripts, respectively. Hiroyuki Oda (a pseudonym of Hiro Kanzaki) is designing the characters for animation. Shinichiro Kashiwada is serving as the producer of the project, and Aniplex and A-1 Pictures are producing the anime.
The Eromanga Sensei "new sibling romantic comedy" revolves around Masamune Izumi, a light novel author in high school. Masamune's little sister is Sagiri, a shut-in girl who hasn't left her room for an entire year. She even forces her brother to make and bring her meals when she stomps on the floor. Masamune wants his sister to leave her room, because the two of them are each other's only family.
Masamune's novel illustrator, penname "Eromanga Sensei," draws extremely perverted drawings, and is very reliable. Masamune had never met his illustrator, and figured he was just a disgusting, perverted otaku. However, the truth is revealed that his "Eromanga Sensei" is his own younger sister. To add to the chaos that erupts between the siblings, a beautiful, female, best-selling shōjo manga creator becomes their rival.
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sword Art Online's Kirito) is playing the protagonist Masamune Izumi (pictured below right), and Akane Fujita (Mahō Shōjo Nante Mō Ii Desu Kara.'s Yuzuka Hanami) is playing Sagiri Izumi (pictured below left) in the anime. Fujita is reprising the role from an earlier visual drama that was broadcast on Niconico.
