Aniplex of America announced on Thursday that it will begin selling tickets for the upcoming Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale anime film on Friday at 3:00 p.m. EST on the film's official website.
The film will screen in United States theaters on March 9. Eleven Arts is distributing the film in Japanese with English subtitles. Prior to the wide release, Aniplex of America will host a premiere event in Hollywood, California on March 1.
The film will open in Japan on February 18 in 150 theaters.

Shingo Adachi is also returning from the TV anime to design the characters based on abec's original character designs, and Yuki Kajiura is returning to score the music.
