2016 Berserk Anime Listed at 12 Episodes

The official website for Berserk's anime series listed two Blu-ray Disc boxsets for the series with a total of 12 episodes.
The first Blu-ray Disc box will ship on October 28 with the first six episodes, a script and storyboard booklet, a package drawn by character designer Hisashi Abe, and a soundtrack alternate takes CD. The second Blu-ray Disc box will ship on December 21 with episodes #7-12 and bonus items that have not yet been revealed. Both sets are priced at 22,500 yen (about about US$222),
The anime began streaming on Crunchyroll in July and 6 episodes have aired so far. It has also been aired on MBS, TBS, and CBC.
The anime adapts Kentarō Miura's dark fantasy manga of the same name. Miura himself is serving as executive supervisor for the series. Shin Itagaki (Basquash!, Ben-To, Teekyū) is directing the anime. Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass, Ōsama-tachi no Viking, Yuruyuri San Hai!) is supervising the series scripts in collaboration with Takashi Yamashita(Cencoroll). Hisashi Abe (Pet Shop of Horrors, Gunslinger Girl, Chobits) is designing the characters. Shiro Sagisu (Berserk films, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Megazone 23) is composing the music. LIDEN FILMS is credited for production, while GEMBA and Millepensee are credited for animation production.
