Tokyo Ghoul Creator: Season 2 Will Be 12 Episodes

In response to a Twitter follower, Tokyo Ghoul manga creator Sui Ishida reported that the second Tokyo Ghoul anime season will be 12 episodes long. The new season, Tokyo Ghoul √A, will premiere on January 8, and Funimation will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.
Whereas Ishida was credited with creating the original manga for the first season, Ishida is now also credited with the original story concept for the second season. Funimation streamed the first season as it aired this past summer, and holds the home video rights.
