Anime Central 2013

The “Sweet 16” edition of Anime Central took place May 17-19 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and neighboring Hyatt Regency O'Hare hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. Early attendance estimates placed anticipated total attendance at around 30,000, which makes it not only the biggest anime and manga-focused convention in the Midwest but also one of the biggest in the country. (By comparison, Otakon, the biggest such convention on the East Coast, had an attendance of 33,000 in 2012 and Anime Expo was around 49,000.)
