Remove the image of Miku from the console and immediately becomes just an ordinary Playstation4.
 They could've at least painted the console teal and gray to make it unique and pertain to Miku's color scheme.

I know right? I'm getting the special edition IA VT/Colorful set... the "Crystal Box". I almost got the Miku Vita back in 2012, but I backed out since it'd arrive after my Otakon trip that year.... |

This will sell out in less than a minute.
A limited edition console priced at only 70 dollars above retail and limited to 100 units. They could have doubled the price or tripled it and it would still sell out in minutes. |

Who ever that will get these limited to 100 unit is very very lucky, because it would definitely re-sell at 2-3 times that since its only limited to 100, in an auction setting. I completely agree, if there is regular Miku version of PS4 with teal colors and pink/black schemes, I would buy one without hesitation.

Interesting to see China get a bone thrown for them for once.
Limited editions, once your brand name is established, becomes an easy and low-risk way to get some more money out of the most dedicated. Yeah, it is pretty sinister, but it works so well! |

Like bundles (Is Sony releasing too many PlayStation 4 bundles?), there's another reason doing this in China - to boost sales where it needs boosting. That's why ya don't typically see these promos where sales are fine - it's where sales struggle where it's needed the most. |

Well, I also notice some businesses will do promotions where sales are highest and prioritize them first. Nintendo seems to handle promotions in that way. And release dates.
