I was surprised when it wasn't put in the main anime but this is fine to.

The muted color palette is making it difficult for me to enjoy this season of Fairy Tail. I hope it get fixed soon.

Ohh, this gonna be a fun watch, indeed. One of the better Fairy Tail one-shots that Mashima has released in recent times (the last 5 years or so).

I am curious as to why Funi hasn't released the other OAD episodes yet. I hope that it's not some aggravating licensing issue.

Not surprised by this. I guess the OVA announcement along with the movie were part of the "big announcement" from the issue.

The OVA's were only released as extras that were bundled with limited edition volumes. So considering the OVA's aren't even available for purchase in Japan, it's very unlikely, if not impossible to license them.

The One Piece Brand Manager has said on Podcasts that Specials and OVA's are frequently not owned by the same company that makes the anime, making licensing even more difficult and sometimes just impossible.

It's unfortunate but these kinds of things happen, and OVA's always pop up online eventually so there are ways to at least view them, you just have to look hard enough. it sucks they can't be heard dubbed but you can at least view them in some capacity.

Anybody else wondering if Mashima is starting to copy One Piece in terms of character designs for the villians? The more villains there are, I've noticed thatt he more over-the-top dressed they are with the weird signature One Piece Picasso faces.

Can you give an example because i can't think of any villains that jumped out at me as "This could be in One Piece."

The closest one i can think of is Goumon the torturer guy from Avatar, and maybe Yosuke the fisherman in the Garou Knights.
