When does the real third one come out?
I mean, come on, that movie they put out as the third, that can't really be it, right? I mean, it's so obviously a fake. Needless time skip, negative plot progression, only two characters do anything, lackluster soundtrack, and that silly airship? Come on, tell us when the real third one is coming out. No, really. The real one. |

After 3.33 got bumped back so far, I just assumed that 4.44 would be released sometime in 2015, since it's the 20th Anniversary.
It felt like watching ½ of a movie. Obviously changes were made story-wise between the end of production on 2.22 and the time of finalization for 3.33, but it's like they were so rushed to meet a release date (that really didn't need to be met) that they left out chunks of the story. |

2015 also coincides with the year that the original version takes place in.

Is anyone else having problems getting the last character of the title to display?

Excited. Sad that it's going to be so long. Loved all of the movies. Even really, really enjoyed the third one.

So I suppose we will be lucky to see it in America before the next decade. (Hopefully Funimation will be able to release 3.33 before the fourth one comes out.)

It was still a better movie than End of Eva, but then again it isn't that hard to try considering EoE was a hate letter made in a mock episode format. |

Really!? I loved the End of Evangelion! Well, I can definitely see why people would hate it, but personally I thought it was a fitting end to the series. I wonder if there's an incoming retcon for the 4th film, or if he's just going to keep going with his own flow? |

Next year sounds about right, given it's the 20th anniversary of the show. And they'll probably try to milk it FWIW with an inevitable BD release of the old stuff.
penguin: Apparently, the people who hate Eva 3.0 get to finally understand how the rest of us feel about Daibuster. |

I'm more concerned about the fact that I always see you on these forums and you'll probably never stop wasting your life commenting on them. We get it, you really, REALLY don't like 3.0. But nobody cares anymore, just let it go already. It's been nearly two years. Go outside dude, or at least do something else. And I could agree with lots of things you said save for the random insult of the godlike soundtrack. I mean, that was so much better than the first two, and their soundtracks were already great! How could anyone possibly dislike Sakura Nagashi and Utada Hikaru's angelic voice? |

Dude, I've been on this forum since 2004. Telling me "go away" at this point? Kind of worthless.
If you're going to defend the third awful Rebuild movie, then do it, but "get over it" is such an absurd statement, it's barely even worth my contempt. The third movie's soundtrack was lackluster. Other than the eighty versions of Shinji and Kaworu's piano session, there really wasn't much memorable about it. I remember being too busy shouting at the screen for something to actually HAPPEN to notice any stand out tracks. |

Movie 3 is a well drawn mess. But it sounded fine. I watched it twice and i don´t think i can watch it again. I had a very hard time caring about anything or anyone and i love EVA. I hope movie 4 can get back one some sort of track. Futhermore i don´t think that film 4 is the end. I can envision some sort of final ova with the complete 4k set or something. Just like the manga. Here is a vintage tv documentary that will help to shine some light on Anno´s crazy brain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh0qbJAQhgk

When did I tell you to go away? Why WOULD I tell you that? It just gets old seeing you retread the same arguments/complaints over and over again, regardless of whether you think they're true or not! That's my problem. Note, I never even defended the film either. My position is neutral, in that I don't really know what to think of it at the moment. I don't feel good about making a conclusive argument about it until I see the fourth film someday, but all I know is that as a whole when I look back on it I enjoyed it, because it inspired so many passionate feelings inside me, regardless of whether they were actually GOOD. It's definitely the most interesting film I've seen in a while. Like, since I watched EoE so many years ago.
I really cannot agree with you on that the soundtrack was lackluster when to me it was the highlight of the movie. It perfectly supplemented the action onscreen. God's Gift and The Wrath of God, In All Its Fury are just a few of my favorites. They accompanied their scenes perfectly. And I ask you again, how can you NOT like that ending theme. I'm all for differing opinions, but I'd have to call anybody who disliked that heartless. It's such a pure and emotional song, actually made me tear up amidst my absolute confusion. |
