I don't get how google can be so defensive about this and at the same time strip, or block subscribers free uploads for free downloads saying that they are copyrighted. I'm also fed up with google pestering me to change my user names to my real one just so they can sell me as yet another commodity to advertisers. Geeze Google, what part of f***off don't you understand? Rolling Eyes

Google/YouTube should learn to take it easy: let users upload copyrighted stuff and Viacom more stuff to sue on.

You know, freedom of speech.

I thought I was the only person they were trying to piss off, between the suggestive Asian dating ads that just so magically happen to pop up when there's little kids around me, them trying to force me to change my name to "Spike Dragon" (which was a BS name BTW, good luck selling that to advertisers), not letting me view anything but VEVO versions of songs on my phone...

Since there's some of it in this thread. Where exactly does the hate for Vevo come from?

They've caused artists to sell their souls to them, upload sanitized versions of songs, and won't let you view anything other then their SUPER SHINY AD SUPPORTED MEGA SUPER AWESOME version on mobile devices/game consoles.
