Isn't this contest infamous for being rigged?

uh, may I ask how because I double checked and I don't see any controversy about this Cosplay summit.

I remember that one certain cosplay contest was thought to be rigged. I can't remember which one though.

Well maybe it's not this one. Probably another Cosplay contest. Because I check the wiki and I don't see any controversy and I check Google.

Whoa hold on, I think I see something, yeah ANN reported on what you said. Other then that, it's not that big of a controversy. Anyway judges aren't perfect.

There was a blog post by a participant in it a few years back who I'm pretty sure was American, and talked about how I believe the Italians were expected to win from the very beginning, they were the team that had more time, space, and attention paid to them the entire time.

For a contest that is supposed to display the best of the best of cosplay all across the world, the winners they choose every year are rather... unremarkable. Second and third place looked pretty good, but I can't see why first place won. But maybe that just isn't a good photo, or their skit was what won the judges over...

Would have been interesting to see the Patlabor cosplayers and their skit. It's an older title and nothing new has come out of it in a while, but it looks like it's still getting some luvin.

Plus one of the group was a "famous" cosplayer......um, what was her name again? Plus she was attached to a talento agency that rigged the contest.....
