We're getting one more final book. Interesting, I wonder if it'll be an after story that takes place after the anime ending or a tie-in between volumes...who knows.

I hope we get an OAV or two when this gets released. I loved the anime and I'm going to collect the books.

Miki had revealed on Good Smile Company's Japanese blog in January that more is being planned for Dengeki's Toaru Majutsu no Index/Toaru Kagaku no Railgun franchise besides the recently announced Index film.

I hope we get a S3 of Index and S2 of Railgun.

Awesome, I now have a little bit of hope that Shakugan no Shana can be fixed. I hated the ending and the final arc leading up to its ending. It was just to much of a big change from the first few arcs of the story, and really did not fit or set well with me. I really hope this last work can fix the series and bring it up to the same light I saw it in around season 1 of the anime.

On another hand I frickening love Index and Railgun. I can't wait for an Index 3 and a Railgun 2. Bring it on!!

Would love to see an OAV for their life in Xanadu. SnS is one of my favorite series and I loved the way it ended. More is always better tho!

To quote Behemoth, the Steadfast Sharp Peak: "Hmm..."

To be honest, I have to agree with AnimeDuelist15 regarding Shakugan no Shana's final arc. I did enjoy Shakugan no Shana III FINAL very much, but when I rewatch season 1 I can't help but feel like I'm watching a completely different show.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing this as a collection of stories set after the series. We want to see the lives of some of the characters in Xanadu, but I'm also interested in seeing what it's like for those who remained in our world (like spoiler[Margery Daw]).

The main storyline ended. The new book will most likely be another S volume with more backstory and shortstories. I believe something like that was said in the afterword of the last volume.
No, I don't think we need more stories about Xanadu, something like that is usually pointless after a spectacular end like this. But if we get a short story with Shana and Yuuji being all romantic, then I can deal with that. Very Happy

Agreed with the comments above. Shakugan no Shana Final was a very different show to the previous seasons, throwing away nearly all character interaction in favour of ever-escalating conflict - to its detriment. IMO it would have been possible to compress all of Final into a 13- (or even 7-) episode arc.

It's not that I didn't enjoy it, but I would have much preferred it otherwise.

I will only accept this if we see Little Shanas or Little Yujis at the end.

Yeah it's probably gonna be a side story volume like Spice & Wolf's last volume.

I think it will have several side stories and one of them will be an after story which takes place after the main series.
