Am actually interested in Pani Poni now... But really, Darker Than Black was one of my top two shows seen last year! Maybe I'm only remembering it after seeing it all marathoned in a weekend, but the plot, the characters and most especially the setting really had me hooked. Could have sworn this series would have been an automatic hit. Bummer.

I'm jealous of the room but he's missing one thing:
I don't see a Wii anywhere.

I'm sorry to say I've seen the first 2 episode of Murder Princess>< I pray that everyone follows the review's advise.

Instead of just playing the love triangles for comic relief, they're actually a viable source of drama.

I think I've been misjudging School Rumble.
I cannot imagine I'd be as entertained if the assorted romantic entanglements were more than just a source of comedy though. To take seriously the storylines of such a series would probably be something that'd take time to become accustomed to, in virtue of the first series.
(To be fair though, the spoiler[meteor shower] scene in the first series was quite rousing.)

Dang, that's a beast room.

Oh, and is that Horo from Spice and Wolf on his screen?

Ooo, I like that post time-skip Gurren Lagann wallscroll on picture #3 and 6, I'll have to try to find that at the next con I go to! Really nice shelves this week!

Already have School Rumble S2P2, Darker than Black 4 is being ordered before the current Funi Rightstuf sale ends, and I'd heard of Paniponi Dash but knew nothing about it, sounds funny, so I may pick it up eventually.

This may not have been the first time this happened, but was anyone else a bit off that all the titles on this review were Funi? (I can't describe the feeling)

Its not like the company releasing them is a major part of the review, but its still weird to me.

Sadly, that's what happens when one company is providing the vast majority of new anime releases right now. I mean, Murder Princess and Paniponi *used* to be ADV, but look where they are now.

Also, they're the only company that consistently sends us screeners. Everything else, I have to wait for it to slowly trickle to me from a rental place.

Is it just me, or did the last paragraph of the Murder Princess review accidentally end up as the first paragraph of the Paniponi Dash one?

Yes it is.

Murder Princess was fun for one episode, and then went down from there. Saw the Pani Poni Dash OVA with some friends, somewhat interested in the series now. It's just like any other SHAFT comedy, low budget, lots of references, Akiyuki Shinbo.

I don't want to keep harping on how much better the second season is compared to the first, but for everyone who was turned off by the first few episodes they saw of the original, it's worth giving this season a shot. I, too, kind of grumbled about how meaningless the show seemed to be, but these last two boxsets have really turned me around.

I've only seen the 1st disc of season 1, and so far I've loved everything there. Does this mean that season keeps getting better, and season 2 is better still? Smile

Also, the review of Pani Poni Dash moved me from considering the show to adding it to my Amazon cart. I thank you, but my pocketbook does not! Laughing
