Thanks for mentioning Berserk. It's the reason I bought a DC, and also the reason I haven't sold it yet. It's nice to get a decent side-story to an anime/manga which doesn't just reek of cash-in.

Haha... I like the "Get Excited If" comment for Chrono Trigger. I actually have gotten every ending twice, once in the SNES version, and once in the PSX version, but I'll still be grabbing it so I can own it myself, instead of playing someone else's copy. And being able to play it once again without load times will be quite the relief.

Chrono Trigger is my favorite video game of all time. I can hardly wait to get the port, because it's been a while since I played it. I pre-ordered a copy for a friend for her birthday, so I didn't have enough for another for myself, but I expect to recieve it for Christmas, if nothing else. It's really the only thing I want right now, even before any anime.

I recall staying up all night at my cousins', just listening to the music from the 600 AD map in the game (a piece called "Wind Scene") when I was a kid. It annoyed my cousin to no end, but he couldn't blame me, with how great the music is (among other elements).

Sorta surprised there was no mention of music in SoB. Susumu Hirasawa, who composed the music for the anime, returned to do the music for the game, and produced some excellent tracks that really set the mood. "Indra" is outstanding.

I'm passing on Chrono Trigger, for now. I was excited for until I heard it was a direct port, with the same graphics.

I assumed, with how they handled FF3 and FF4 for DS, with the graphical upgrades and such, that this was what they would do with Chrono Trigger.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game, and I love the 16-bits of awesome. It was just something I didn't expect, and I felt let down, so I am not purchasing it right away.

I also don't feel $40.00 for what is essentially a SNES game in a DS cartridge is a fair price. You can still find the PSX port for $20.00 if you look well enough.

I can see this game at $30.00 being a fair price. Thats what they did with Kirby SuperStar Ultra (which is much of the same thing, port wise, however Kirby has more added features than CT).

I'm glad SoB was mentioned. I still have the game and I love it.

I'm excited about Blood of Bahamut....obviously.
I was hoping it would be related to Bahamut Lagoon, or even a DS remake, but this looks pretty cool so far.

I think that's a fair argument. I was thinking they could have touched up the graphics a little. At least use higher quality portraits for the menu, come on!

But bringing up the PS1 version is moot. I mean yeah it's 20 dollars, but it's CRAP. Well, I was able to get through it, but the load times and slowdown really kill the experience.

The DS version however is basically the SNES version (with no load times or slowdown) with all the PSX bonus features intact AND some hefty new extras (New Ending, New Dungeon, and a Monster Arena)

So I don't think it's quite fair to call the game "An SNES game on a DS Cartridge" It's definitely on par with Kirby SS. Plus the DS version comes with an Orchestra Music CD. I'm ALL over that! But yeah the price is bloated in a manner befitting to S-E.

On a related note, when I clicked on this week's article I was expecting a nod to the latest trailer for Dissidia being posted on the official site. It's been Youtubed with Subtitles. Just a heads up.

FYI for those importing Chrono Trigger, there is an option to play with english text.

Pardon my frank but whoever is in charge of doing the U.S. covers to Square-Enix games seriously needs to be fired. It's bad enough that Amano's beautiful artwork was disregarded for the U.S. releases of Final Fantasy III and IV DS, but to reuse the SNES boxart for the DS version of Chrono Trigger? ZZzzzzzzzz....

Still, that doesn't mean that I won't get the game. Chrono Trigger is a title that needs to belong in every RPG fans' library. That game is just pure fun! Smile

I'm totally looking forward to the remake version of Chrono Trigger DS,I've loved the original Super Nes Version and the PSX remake, but yeah the DS Version will include a new exclusive ending and a new dungeon. Crono,Marle and Lucca were always my fav party members to use

the plot was very unique where Crono and his friends must time travel on the epoch to change history to prevent a disaster that happened in 1999 A.D by stopping an alien terestrial.

and I'm defentilly looking forward to Dragonball Origins for DS,and for once it'll be the first time ever to play as Bulma in a Dragonball game Very Happy

My World, My Way has great subject matter. The princess just better not learn to care about other people in the end. I'm sick of anime and video games preaching to me when they've got nothing good to say. Amusing jerks for the laughs!

That's BEAUTIFUL! It is a must-purchase for me, even though I know the story line is going to be absolute crap.

Just thought I'd point out that it wasn't Tony Jay who played Balzac in Sword of the Berserk, it was Earl Boen.
