It'll be an interesting point in Masami Kurumada's career after he finishes up this final run of Next Dimension, as it will mark the first time since 2000 that he has no major/long-running manga in the works. After finishing B't X he had a short gap of time where he wasn't actively working on anything before debuting Ring ni Kakero 2 in early 2000, Next Dimension then debuted while RnK2 was still running, Otoko Zaka finally ended late last year, and while there is technically Fuma no Kojirou: Asuka Mumyocho now that's definitely not a "major" manga, in comparison, and could very well be ending with its next mini-run, anyway.
For the first time in nearly 25 years, Masami Kurumada will be "done" with all of his major works. It'll be interesting to see what comes next, post-ND. |
