Nice, I always thought the original ending was a bit underwhelming. Curious to see what they do with this.

Yay, more manga! Although I think leaving the ending as it is is still fine, I am glad we're getting a bit more exploring the building of the time machine. Very curious as to how far this is going to go, and curious more if it'll be published in a stand-alone volume as well. I haven't bought Volume 26 yet, so not sure if the bonus Terraforming chapter was included or not, but if it's not, it'll be nice to have that chapter and these new spin-off chapters in a physical print.

Curious to see how they'll build on the ending.

Even though I’m not sure I love the time travel angle, I hope they actually commit and don’t blue ball us again.

Yay, more Dr Stone cash grab! As if the horrible character-destroying Byakuya spin-off wasn't bad enough.

How close is the anime to the manga's ending? I really want it to end soon.

Not close at all. At the pace they're going, there will be three more seasons after this one.
