A solid choice for Wolfwood.

Huh, definitely not who I had in mind at all. I think I had Reagan Murdock down given that I haven't seen his name pop up on a simuldub yet (where as Matranga is already a co-lead in Buddy Daddies) and has that "naturally deeper but still young" register that really fits. Or if this was back when CR still hired non-TX talent for new roles, Jonah Scott would have been an almost too-easy pick.

Even saw someone mention they had Matranga as a guess for a different character that appears later on, and that honestly made more sense in my head.

They were never going to bring him back for logistical reasons alone, and even those aside I frankly think it was the right choice.

EDIT - Whoops, misread the name and assumed you were talking about the original VA, not the one who took over later for the movie. Honestly, I think they just wanted to go in a completely new direction beyond the lead since they didn't bring anyone back from Badlands Rumble. Including people who work for the studio a lot more often than Hawkins seems to nowadays, like Luci Christian.

David is honestly the best decision out of all of Funis talent pool, the only other person I could imagine working in this role would be Ian Sinclair.

It is weird that they don't seem to be bringing anyone back from the badlands Rumble cast.

Jeff Nimoy is the only Wolfwood to me, and it was a shame they didn't get him for Badlands.

Is it that surprising with how widely criticized the dub of that movie was at that time? I also can't imagine much of that cast being too thrilled to come back to a dub where people didn't like them the last time.
