It's in good hands with Production I.G.

Also doesn't look like the Kaiju will be CG (or at least Kaiju No. 8 won't be all the time).

You forgot to mention that the manga reached 10 million copies in circulation. It's mentioned in the trailer.

Hmmmmm….if it takes that long to produce, would it be reasonable to assume the show is at two cour length (or split cour)?

That being said, given how frequently the manga uses wide panels and whole page scenes, even eight volumes might not have enough materials for a two cour, as absurd as that sounds

Assuming Toho Animation is in charge of overseas licensing, they certainly have licensed more shows to Crunchyroll (and Funimation) than to Sentai/Hidive. I wouldn't rule Netflix out either. (Or Disney+... surely not...) But since this is a hot shonen action hit from Jump (Plus), I think Crunchyroll would be willing to pay such ridiculous amounts for it that no-one could compete. We'll see.

Worth mentioning that CR’s French Twitter account follows the official Kaiju 8 account. Could be wrong but it could be an indication they may have it. I only say this because CR has ended up licensing every show of the official accounts that any of CR’s Twitter accounts have followed before the official announcements.

Dr. Stone and Jujutsu Kaisen are two confirmed examples I can think of off the top my head.

I will wait until the actual staff gets announced, but it looks good so far. I'm honestly glad it's coming out in 2024, because it means that Toho will take their sweet time letting it bake in the oven, rather than rushing it.

Also, I do think the anime will majorly fix the manga's pacing problem.

Still have no idea why announce this early.

they can just drop the teaser and that's it. 2024 is too far away.

It reminds me of Hell's Paradise. The anime was announced in January 2021 and it will be broadcasted during 2023.

Neat. Though I don't know if the manga has enough for a full season? Most chapters are action sequences that would last a minute if animated. Maybe that is also the reason why it is 2024 and they might have the rough outline and boards of where the story is headed.

Khara would be perfect for the Kaijus.
