It’s just the Subbed version right now. But I don’t remember an announcement mentioning that it switched from Disney+ to Hulu.

They haven't announced it yet, but it is indeed streaming dubbed and subbed weekly on Hulu and on Disney+ in some other countries.

Good news, I can’t wait to watch this. I just watched Tatami Galaxy and the film a couple months ago and loved them. Hopefully we’ll hear some news on Summertime Render soon.

Wow that’s odd, usually they put the sub and dub versions in the same show page with clear labels. Was it even listed on the Hulu October premieres lists that they do for each month? Or was it shadow dropped?

Yeah, it's weird. It was shadow dropped. It isn't listed in the October schedule, even now.

There is a live action movie done many years ago called Summer Timemachine Blues. The blu-ray has English subtitles. Japanese blu-rays play on US players as we are in the same region.

I think I'll move my copy to the top of the viewing pile.

Glad to see they're finally releasing stuff out of Disney+ jail.

I wonder if they'll dub it? The closest this franchise has been dubbed was The Night is Short, Walk on Girl movie.

Outside of possible licensing requirements, why stream a show in Eng. for foreign Hulu and Disney+ versions before the American version of those streaming sites?

Seems rather strange that Disney's first efforts at licensing anime are Summertime Rendering and this show, neither of which are especially mainstream. SR is a bit more so; the character models depict normal humans and the tale of a struggle against evil supernatural forces has a long lineage. Tatami Galaxy had neither of these features. The original series has about 400K members at MAL.

I'd be happy to see more shows like this on the channel. I have a few more free months via an offer to decide. I've seen all the pretty much all the Star Wars stuff and a lot of Pixar's works as well. The Marvel Cinematic Universe can carry on without me, and I don't care about most modern Disney works either.

Really surprised they didn't just drop it on Hulu considering how Disney+ seems a lot more precious with what's on the US app compared to other territories.
