The story that never ends. It's bad enough Naruto, Detective Conan & One Piece are STILL running, but bringing Bleach back for Primus knows how long? Any wonder I've started watching slice of life anime, cause next to Isekai anime (don't get me started on THAT), there's nothing action-wise to watch unless it's Fate or Gundam.

Im not surprised, Bleach was a popular shonen series so it has many characters and many of them(VA) were still newbies when they had their roles in it and by now a lot of them have established careers at this point and getting them all back to voice the same characters in a more busy environment these days> ( Face it anime back than did not have as many produced as today it must have quadrupled since) it is easy to see why they would be frustrated. As they need to keep with other productions.

There are plenty of great action series from the past 2-3 years alone that are worth watching, it's not the industry's fault that you just llok at the mainstream stuff and then complain there's nothing to watch.

Why does it even bother you that these series are continuing/coming back? If you are not even watching them in the first place, why are you getting so angry about it? I guess you're the type that think series that you don't like just existing is a crime.

I remember back in the day, watching those behind the scenes videos, anime actors record in groups. So do they still do that or do they record seperatly now? Seems like it would be a lot more convenient.

Don't be jealous your fav comedy didn't get the same treatment. And yes I agree with you that it'll be the greatest whether it's a comedy or a dumpster fire. Excited.

I mean, not only do you have returning vets who are pretty popular but a lot of the new characters have A-list seiyuu as well (who I think Kubo specifically helped cast for the Brave Souls game before the new anime was even announced), so I can see where that would be a lot.

Of course they still do it in groups. Because that's actually acting, bouncing off the performances of other people in the moment, rather than just talking in front of a screen by yourself.

When it comes to Dubbing anime, having all the actors record at the same time and match lip flaps, yeah, that's not going to work. But I've heard American animation record one at a time sometimes. Batman the Animated series was recorded in groups, but Pixar does one at a time. They have the ADR director play the role of all the other characters so the actor has someone to bounce off of.

Wait till people find out Japanese actors for anime also do dubbing for American movies. Are they suddenly no longer actors?

I can imagine how frustrating it must be considering the number of characters involved. Even when there are cast members who double-up on roles (Morikawa Toshiyuki and Konishi Katsuyuki both voiced two roles) it's still not enough to prevent other series from being recorded. I guess this is what happens when you poorly schedule the productions of your cartoons, Production Committee-kun.

The norm of group recordings has kinda had a wrench thrown into it the last couple years though, on account of plague.

#11 best selling manga of all time with 130 million copies deserves no less than affecting the production of other works. This is the stuff you love to hear.
