I hope that Funimation announces the cast for the Spanish dub soon. I recently watched some episodes of the Spanish dubs they made for Kaguya-sama, Fruits Basket, AoT and Fire Force and they're a vast improvement over the infamous dub they did for My Hero Academia, I think it helps that they switched to dub their shows in Mexico City. Perhaps they will try to dub some other projects in Venezuela and Argentina in the future, but I don't think they'll dub anime in Miami in collaboration with 8 different countries again like they did with MHA.

They got almost everyone back. For comparison, here's the English voice cast as shown in the game's credits. There's a couple of recasts: Shiden (voiced by Mark Whitten in the game and Phil Song in the anime) and Wataru (voiced by Kyle McCarley in the game and Aaron Campbell in the anime).

Yeah good for you guys...here we still are being forced to hear the same actors and some unknown actors and Funi refusing to do anything about it and morrons still defending it

It's a bit weird they're already dubbing the Scarlet Nexus anime but still no word yet on the TWEY anime dub.

It's great that they were able to get 98% of the cast back.

It's kind of surreal to see a Texas studio having a predominantly LA cast, but I guess that's what happens when you're adapting a game with an LA dub to begin with (and not for the first time).

Although I'm sure Megan Shipman will do a great job, I wonder if they ever considered bringing on Patrick Seitz to voice direct the anime like he did the game? I'm not sure if he's done any voice direction work for Funimation despite his long history with them.

I'm kind of surprised they couldn't get Kyle McCarley back.

I guess if I had to assume nay delay is because they're working to get the cast back from the game and, from my understanding, a few of them weren't typical voice actors so that might explain the delay.

Whereas here a lot of them are anime VA's with their own home setup so that makes it far easier from a recording perspective and probably why they were able to get started on the dub fairly soon.

Well, technically we also have a lot of repeated voices as well, but the thing is that MHA was dubbed in Miami with a very limited cast of voice actors who didn't have a lot of experience, with a few exceptions. Then, when they tackled the later seasons they decided to collaborate remotely with actors from different countries, which various changes in quality since you have more experienced Mexican and Argentinean actors alongside some inexperienced ones from Peru. The thing is that the MHA movies were dubbed in Mexico and the characters voices in those films are considered miles better than the Funi dub.
Attack on Titan was also going to be dubbed in Miami or Cuernavaca, Mexico, but the company which distributed and dubbed the compilation films in Mexico City intervened and helped Funi to keep all of the actors who worked on the films. Now people are wondering if something similar can happen with MHA but I think it's too late
Later, series Azur Lane, Death Parade, Megalo Box 2 and TWEWY were done in Mexico City.

The TWEWY English dub has not yet came out?, that's weird because the Neutral Spanish dub, which Funi also did, already aired

Yeah, this is great that they've gotten most of the game cast for the anime.

Oh yeah, that's a good point about TWEWY having some VAs that are less common and therefore might not have home setups ready to go.
