Damn, this was always the top of my Disney + Wishlist. Seemed so obvious, but I was beginning to think we’d never get it. Weird they’re skipping Disk Wars.

This was unexpected. I wonder if it's going to get dubbed into other languages, if it gets dubbed into neutral spanish Disney probably is going to dub some characters in Argentina and some in Mexico like they do with the Disney  shows.

They need to air Marvel Disc Wars as well, its a Toei production that never made it to the States for some reason.
Also, is it just me, or does Disney not get any luck when it comes to TV anime? Take Disney XD for example... Sure, established IPs like Pokémon and Beyblade do pretty well, but any anime shows that aren't those titles end up being high-profile flops. Remember Doraemon and Yo-kai Watch? Both shows premiered on DXD years ago, both bombed. Heck, even the Stitch! anime didn't do so hot in the US, and that was based on a Disney animated classic.

Because it only aired five episodes over the course of a single week, unadvertised, early in the afternoon, on a premium channel most people don't have. It wasn't even given a chance and likely only aired so Disney could exercise its ownership of the show in North America.

If I had to fashion a guess why those shows bombed it's the fact that anime isn't as popular in the U.S. as it was in the mid 90's early 00's. Not helped by both shows airing on a network that's never really been able to make up it's mind on whether they want to promote a new show or let it die off leading to it's cancellation after a few episodes into it's first or second season.

Exactly. Two examples I can bring up are shows like Gravity Falls (when it moved there from the regular Disney Channel, and began to lose popularity as a result) and Tron Uprising. If you ask me, I think Disney XD should just be put out of its misery and shut down for good. Disney+ is already a massive hit if I remember correctly, so I think Pokémon and Beyblade should move there.

I seem to remember it being treated worse than that. They may have only aired about 3 episodes before cutting it off.

These are owned by Sony Pictures so Disney had NOTHING to do with the production of these shows.

All the seasons of Pokémon are on the Disney Now app and frankly I doubt it's going to be on Disney+ given that the streaming rights to the seasons have been divided by different services such as Netflix (which has the first 2 seasons, and the Sun & Moon anime), Amazon Prime (which has the Pokémon Advance anime), Hulu (which has Pokémon Black and White) and Pokémon.com.
Plus, the Pokémon movie rights are going to be VERY difficult as Viz Media has the home vide rights to them except Pokémon 4Ever, Pokémon Heroes, Jirachi Wishmaker, and Destiny Deoxys are owned by Miramax, even Cartoon Network still has the airing rights to Pokémon in Latin America.

Four. I recorded the last one for the week and it was preempted at the last minute with a Zack and Cody rerun. That was the first real sign of trouble.

Disc Wars was a much better show than Future Avengers if you ask me, but I doubt they'll ever bring it over since the toyline and card game is pretty old and not here for them to advertise. Future Avengers is more general MCU advertisement rather than a toy commercial.

Fair enough. I may not be a big MCU fan, but I thank its success for making geek things like anime and American comics more accessible and acceptable among more people.
