Sorry Wooloo and Sobble. You’ve already been replaced as top favorite Pokémon in gen 8. And now I know which version to get. Farfetch’d has always been one of my favorite classic Pokémon and his new evolved form is so cool. And I love when he goes all Super Saiyan for his attack.

By the way, beside two legendary wolves is this the first "new" pokemon announced to be exclusive to a version ?
With this and the fact that there are exclusive Gym Leader i will have to reconsider which version to buy.

I’m almost considering just buying both versions just to have all the features though I’ll probably just get one version at first.

It's so cute! I'm already getting shield though. But with online trade being so easy, I feel like version exclusive Pokémon that are at least somewhat common aren't super important

Game Freak: After creating too many Pokemon, we need to cut Pokemon from the Sword and Shield roster in order to create competitive balance.

Also Game Freak: Let's create new Pokemon for the Galar region despite the fact that we just stated that we've created too many Pokemon, because impressionable children won't buy a new Pokemon game if it doesn't contain new Pokemon.

This is why I won't be buying these games and have lost faith in Pokemon going forward. Game Freak can try and make these games as pretty and exciting as they want, but they're still making nonsensical decisions and putting out asinine PR statements in order to cover their own asses. Why should I entrust my money to such idiots?

Because the games are still fun. Who cares about trivial behind-the-scenes crap? If the game is good, it's good.

They’re obviously going to be new Pokémon for the new region what are you on about yea they’re cutting old Pokémon to have new Pokémon every region gets new Pokémon what’s the point of making a new region and not having new Pokémon.

How is it behind the scenes crap if after several generations you can no longer transfer Pokemon from older games except to a hub because Game Freak is making half-assed excuses? That's fine if you want to just want to have fun with the games, but that doesn't justify acting like other people can't have a differentiating opinion and want to criticize Game Freak's business decisions. I've been playing Pokemon on and off since 1998, so it's not like I haven't been around the block when it comes to this franchise.

Indead, depending of how Pokemon home will work, exclusive pokemon from older Gens like Larvitar won't really be "exclusive" given how easily they will be available, only those from Gen 9 will really feel exclusive. If we can store them in the cloud then restart the game then i know for sure that i will shamelessly use the 3 starters.

It also doesn't justify people who continue to harass Masuda on his Twitter even when he makes personal tweets that have nothing to do with Pokemon. I get being disappointed by the lack of inclusion of the National Dex. Most people are still disappointed in it. But there comes a time where you have to decide if it's going to be a deal breaker or not and just move onto another franchise. It's just a video game.

Why suddenly cut Pokemon after 7 generations?

Game Freak: There's too many Pokemon! But we need to create more Pokemon in order to keep selling new games!

Sorry to break it to you this eventually would’ve happened sooner or later they were eventually going to make cuts on which Pokémon make into a game. Honestly this whole controversy is just a very very vocal minority who won’t just let it go they already said they’re not budging just move on and don’t look back.

There's a significant difference between producing new designs and animations for the new Galar Pokemon versus producing new animations for the past 700+ Pokemon that I doubt most gamers even use half of that.

Past Pokemon have their models future proofed. They've been using the same models and animations for pretty much every Pokemon since X and Y back in 2013. Look it up on YouTube. It's been proven.
