That's a little surprising considering they didn't have any particularly great deals. None of the console deals were as good as the PS4 Spider-man bundle.

Speaking of great deals, the Borderlands: Handsome Collection on steam was an absolutely stunning deal. Includes 2 full games with ALL dlc packs included for a very affordable price. I mean only $2 for the pre-sequel It was an instant buy for me. |

Disclaimer on the numbers of Nintendo-published Switch games and Switch consoles sold from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday: The Nintendo Switch-Mario Kart 8 Deluxe digital game bundle.

Ummmm there were alot of great deals this black friday. Nintendo according to my friend at Gamestop rarely does game bundles compared to so y or Microsoft and was offering g the switch with Mario kart for normal console price (free game essentially) plus gamestop was giving a $50 gift card on top of that for anyone that bought a switch (any edition pretty much) plus smash is coming out soon and people want to be ready to play that game and took advantage of the deals that were out there. |

This is getting confusing. Nintendo's apparently doing a victory lap, but just a month ago, Forbes reported that things might not be as rosy as they seem, long term: https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2018/10/31/the-nintendo-switch-is-running-into-a-predictable-nintendo-problem/#25f492093076, and Bloomberg reiterated this more recently within the last few days with more data: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-27/nintendo-switch-loses-shine-as-killer-product-for-new-gaming-era
I've got a lot of love for Nintendo, but it seems like they've got a tough road if they want it to equal or surpass the Wii's success, which was seemingly their goal. |

So basically Emerje was correct in saying there was no real effort from Nintendo to get people to buy a switch via a great deal? |

My co-worker recently bought the Switch because of the Mario Kart bundle and he was quite pleased with the deal. It seemed like it was a “real” enough effort to work in this case. |

It's not surprising at all since Smash Bros is only a week away. People would start scooping them up regardless of how good the Black Friday deals were.

The Mario Kart Switch bundle would be neat......if not for the fact it bundles a 5 year old game, that Nintendo decided to port because not a whole lot of people owned the console it originally released on. |

Yeah, that really doesn't compare to Sony knocking $100 off a PS4 and tossing in brand new, highly rated AAA game title when they really didn't have to sweeten the deal that much more. Also the idea that Nintendo doesn't do bundles is outright wrong. Even in recent years there's a bunch of them for the various 3DS units and they've been going crazy with Switch bundles like Splatoon 2, Zelda, nearly all the Mario games (Tennis, Kart, Odyssey, Smash), Fortnite, Pokemon, Diablo III, and probably others I'm not thinking of.
