Sweet! I know most people don't seem to be enjoying it much, but episode 2 gave me really good vibes for where I hope they show will go. More episodes should in theory prevent it from being rushed too much

YES! I had a feeling this show was going to be this long, considering the route it's taken. I'm digging the show so far, and am looking forward to half a year of it!

Considering how the anime has been rushed to absolute shit, there really shouldn't be any need for 24 episodes.

Loved the manga but christ, what exactly are they trying to rush through the adaptation for...?

I had to drop the show. I haven't read the manga or the novel but the rush is too obvious to the point of not being able to enjoy the series. And I was very interested in it plus 24 episodes!........but Crying or Very sad

24 episodes for a super generic fantasy-action-adventure series...
Goodness, 2018... I thought you're going to be a good year.

It's a legitimate cause for concern that the anime did in 3 episodes what the manga adaptation took 15 chapters to depict, and the manga is not slow at all. When typical half-hour anime episodes handle about 1-3 manga chapters worth of content, it makes you wonder what they're leaving out in order to reach this pace, and why.

I dropped it because it's too shounen-ish for a fantasy with large-scale-potential conflict. And for my taste, I admit I might have an over expectation towards it. Even so, from the two episodes I watched, it does seem rushed that it looked like the show is oversimplifying things what might have been an already simple things in terms of conflict resolutions.

I'll have to agree with the naysayers here. There was some interesting character-building stuff, a little fanservice, and a little more action that was cut that could made the build up of Theo's power base a little more enjoyable. Now if this was a single Cour series, I could of tolerated it. But a two-Cour? Oh hell no!

There's a difference between complaining for the sake of it it and complaining as a cause for legitimate concern. I don't know if you're familiar with this series or have watched the anime, but the pacing is ridiculously fast. 15 chapters were covered in the space of 3 episodes.

Haven't read any of the source material, but it's obvious that it's rushing like crazy. When you have a character who just show up on screen whose apparently from an arc the show just skipped over it's hard to not notice.

I personally have really been enjoying the series thus far which looks like its putting me in the minority. I haven’t read the source material, so maybe that’s why it didn’t seem all that rushed to me but hearing that the first 3 episodes condenses 15 chapters does make some things that the series does make more sense. While I didn’t find it rushed at all, I will admit that episode 2 had way more plot than I had expected. I'm not sure if people would really consider this much of a spoiler but I'm tagging it just to make sure. spoiler[When they first introduced the other kingdom I thought for sure the conflict would last around 2-3 episodes, but I was pleasantly surprised when it only took 1.] I’ve seen a ton of this type of anime so keeping the pacing brisk isn’t that much of a problem for me.

I haven’t seen episode 3 yet, so maybe that one will feel rushed to me, but so far the pacing feels fine. It’s also possible that it might be going through some of the earlier material faster in order to get to meatier portions of the story sooner and that it might slow down a bit once it gets to those points, but that remains to be seen. I won’t pretend that hearing they moved through so much material in a short amount of time doesn’t make me apprehensive for the future of the series, but given that it didn’t feel that rushed to me I’ll probably be fine with the way they’re pacing the series.

I can't believe this is 24 episodes. After watching episode 3, I never would have guessed it was more than 1 cour. I had high hopes for the series after the first episode. Really the second episode wasn't that bad. It didn't really interest me as much as the first, but I understand them needing to do some basic set up.

Episode 3 though... I've seen an episode cover half a light novel and feel less rushed. You also rarely see the initial arcs rushed like that for a good reason.

I've only seen the first episode and I know nothing about the source material, but I wasn't all that impressed by the show. I thought it just seemed like a generic fantasy anime with cliched characters and typical character designs. I was looking forward to it too as I enjoy fantasy but it was just kind of boring to me. I'm surprised it's getting 24 episodes when it doesn't seem like it's all that popular of a series.
