Considering how visual novel fans have mostly been content to go crazy over English releases of VNs that are a decade or more old (Clannad, Muv-Luv, etc.), the prospect of doing a translation while the game is being developed is really exciting. For a while, it's seemed a tempting prospect that, like anime, we could see a "simulcast" type model for visual novels. Would this be the first example of such a thing?
BTW, fact-check on the article: in addition to eden*, Mangagamer also released minori's "ef" titles, on physical media and as downloads from their online store. |
