So this Movie is actually happening, if it is "actually" happening then what the hell are they going to call it? Something Something Acronym. Confused

From the little I know of GI Joe and MASK, they seem too grounded to be mixing it up with the space faring Micronauts and ROM.

I've never heard of Visionaires before.

Also, where's Battleship in all this? They're gonna give up on Battleship as a movie franchises?!?!?! Laughing

I don't whether to be happy about us getting a new expanded cinematic universe - or to just throw up because all of the Hasbro movies have been bad thus far.

And where's Transformers? I don't give a damn about Ouija, but they will seriously ditch what will always be their biggest (and worst) movie property?

No they simply won't be tying it to the expanded universe from the looks of it.

That's what I meant. It's surprising it won't tie in to this universe. I'm pretty sure Michael Bay would say "Go ahead and take it - just have me in there somewhere so I can make even more money!". My guess is this is only the first phase, and they will do much more later.

That's because Paramount and Hasbro are making their own expanded Transformers movie universe.

Nice list of adding some Marvel Cinematic Universe alumni into this writer's room and despite being the Hasbro Cinematic Universe, I am still distracted by the big question of where's My Little Pony and especially Transformers? For something that is supposed to be called the Hasbro Cinematic Universe, it just doesn't feel complete without them.

Akiva Goldsman handling other people's pop-culture franchises? Show of hands, how many are old enough to remember the last time that didn't exactly work out so well...TWICE. In a row. We didn't even know his name before, but we remembered it afterwards.
Studios who don't remember the past are doomed to repeat it.

No, like Battleship, they're STILL planning to make every Hasbro project look like the Transformers, with alien robot ships with lots of blue electricity and whirring chrome gears.

We've already seen those plans outlined with Micronauts and ROM, and it don't take much blue-skying to see them worked into M.A.S.K. and Visonaries.
Tomb Raider, though.......yeah, they'd probably figure out a way. Confused

Actually, they DO want Bay to do one more, for obvious reasons, but all really tied in this time.

Given what we now know about Paramount/Hasbro's agenda, that WOULD be an interesting project... Razz

Of all their properties, the one I am most interested in, is the Micronauts.

Sadly, it doesn't sound like they are going with the Marvel continuity from the Micronauts comics.

Funny enough, the only ones I don't know much about are ROM and Micronauts.

From what I recall, to some extent there was a Matt Trakker figure in the G.I. Joe line a few years ago. An odd beast given that a M.A.S.K./G.I. Joe crossover could wind up being canon. Only thing missing from M.A.S.K. would be the chance to re-release the toy line. To put the series into comparison, throw Transformers and G.I. Joe into a blender and set to pulse. Transforming vehicles with hidden capabilities and pilots whose masks aren't just decoration.

Visionaries is also an oddball for a cinematic universe. If done right, it puts Harry Potter to shame with the combination of magic and technology. Might be doable in CG, but just depends on how it is done. Also would probably help clear up the mess that ended the series so soon.
